“Good fishing and good parking.”

"This fishery is great little place. Set in picturesque farm land its a lake that holds many features (island, over hanging trees etc). The fish here fight like crazy. Even a 2lb fish feels like a 10lb fish here... The pegs are faultless."

"Its a really nice well run fishery and the bloke who owns it is tops. Have a word with him as to which pegs are fishing well. If you are feeder fishing you dont want anything much less than a 10lb line as the carp are super fit and know all the snags"

"Fished it for the first time about a month ago - it tipped it down most of the day and I didn't do brilliantly but what I'd heard about turbo charged carp in here was true. The rain seemed to put the carp off the margins and most of the anglers seemed to be trying to fish the same 50ft area close to the island by the submerged path-I was having a go from peg one. There was a bloke fishing method to the far bank from peg three and he seemed to do ok on hard halibut pellet. I had roach up to about 12oz on everything from worm, soft hookers, prawn and paste."

"Amazing fishery had roach to 1.5lb on maggot and pellet and then fished paste in margin after all the other anglers had left great fishing had 6 carp all mirrors to 9lb On 6lb line a great fight The carp here are clever and use every inch of underwater structure to there advantage".

"One of the staff at Billingham Tackle gave this lake a big thumbs up so I popped along today to see what it was like…. …As the day went on the fish kept coming off and on and the final tally was 13 carp with an average of 5-6lb and a dozen roach. This is not the most fish I have had, but the average size was fantastic, and the excitement of catching them so close in made this a real red letter day. I did feel sorry for the guy next door as he was broken a couple of times using 15lb mainline and also had hooks straighten - don't know what the owner feeds them on but it is good stuff."

"hubby caught a fantastic carp weighing 13lbs. we really enjoyed your fishery. everyone made us feel so welcome. so clean and tidy. definitely think the fish are on steroids they were amazing. looking forward to getting back hopefully next year. Xx."

"Fished Morndyke for first time yesterday. Very easy to find, lovely clean scenic lake, and parking next to pegs on half of it. Already numerous anglers there, all pleasant people which is nice when visiting a new place."

“I’ve visited this lake a few times recently, great fighting fish I've had everything from a 2lb to a 13lb carp and everyone gives you the run around, I’ve found peg 1-5 have worked well for me fishing off the tree line opposite or close to the margins , fished luncheon meat, 12mm pellet and boillies , all worked well, I haven't had a bad day yet, I wouldn't use less than 12lb line there.”

"Superpower fish what a great little venue bit tight on a few of the pegs and some snags under water and the fish know where to run if u get one of the larger ones on then make sure u have a reel with a bait runner as when these fish go they go have seen a few rods go splash in here of the unsuspected angler."

"Top venue, lovely lake full of carp on steroids, Keep hold of your rods!!!"
