Morndyke Fishery fishing in Thirsk North Yorkshire

Plan of the Lake

Morndyke Lake has a car park north of the lake. There is a Portaloo in the North-West corner and disabled access at decking 22.

There are areas of quicksand (layers of silt) in it all over, so no one must go in.

Off Pegs 1 - 7 the average depth is roughly 4ft 6", but the range is between 4ft & 7ft

Off pegs 7 - 10 the depth is between 6ft to 8ft

Off pegs 10 - 16, that whole area, it is between 7ft & 10ft

The whole south side of the lake from the island and peg 14 across to peg 27 the average depth is between 5ft and 7ft. However, there is a trench that is about 10ft wide and 30ft long from somewhere between peg 1 & 27 across to the island, that is 18ft 6" deep . It is right next to a really shallow walkway across to the island that is only about 2ft 6" deep.
